Cultivate Interactive Policies

A summary of policies relating to the Cultivate Interactive e-journal is given below.

Cultivate Interactive Domain

The Cultivate Interactive domain name - cultivate-int.org - will continue to be owned by UKOLN for a period of three years after the CULTIVATE project finishes. UKOLN will not change the use of the domain.

Cultivate Interactive Web Site

The Cultivate Interactive Web site will continue to be hosted by UKOLN for a period of three years after the CULTIVATE project finishes. We will endeavour to ensure that the Web site continues to function correctly.

URL Persistency For Cultivate Interactive Resources

We will seek to ensure that published URLs will continue to be work correctly. Note that wherever possible links should be made to a directory (e.g. <http://www.cultivate-int.org/issue8/link-policies/>) and not to a file. The reason for this is the file extension may reflect the backend technology being used (e.g. .asp for Active Server Pages) and we wish to have the flexibility to be able to change our server technologies without addresses changing.
